Jerome H. Levy, M.D.Dr. Jerome Levy is a Magna Cum Laude graduate of Syracuse University, where he was a member of the Phi Beta Kappa Honor Society. He received his medical degree from SUNY Downstate Medical Center in 1966.

Dr. Levy completed an internship at SUNY Downstate Medical Center and Kings County Hospital in 1967. He served as Chief Resident in Ophthalmology at Manhattan Eye, Ear and Throat Hospital from 1968 to 1971, Coordinator of phacoemulsification Training from 1972 to 1975 and as Chief of the Laser Clinic from 1975 to 1990.

Dr. Levy has been the author of numerous international articles and journals, given countless lectures, and was among the first physicians to introduce the Yag laser in the United States from Switzerland in 1982. He has performed tens of thousands of ophthalmic surgeries and lasers throughout his career and co-founded our affiliate, the Ambulatory Surgery Center of Greater New York in 1987.

Dr. Levy is the President Emeritus of Outpatient Ophthalmic Surgery Society (OOSS) and President and Chairman of the Board of the Vision Center Network of America (VCNA), a clinically integrated network of ophthalmic ambulatory surgery centers.
